The youth fishing dery is not much different than other youth sports, but regardless of athletic ability or social status all children can participate and excel where they might not even be acknowledged in other sports arenas.  The fishing derby encourages patience, discipline, raises the responsibility level as a child learns his/her worth.  The derby started in 1992 and has grown to service thousands of children throughout the Chicago land area.  All children are eligible, we just require that they have a parent or guardian willing to participate with  them and register prior to the event.  We recruit children through schools and churches, by word of mouth and from other organizations.   

 For Children Ages 5-15

Order of the day;

1-Sign in at registration table (starts @ 8am YOU MUST BE ON TIME!!!)
2-Eat breakfast
3-Casting 101
4-Rules & Regulations
5-Start Fishing
6-Lunch
7-Awards & Prizes

Anyone who is 16 yrs of age or older must have a valid Illinois Fishing License!
